59 -- ELECTRIC SWING DOOR EQUIPMENT SOL 548-96-sb-010 DUE 072296 POC Suzanne Byrne, Contracting Officer (407) 882-6517 It is the intent of the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida to negotiate sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Automatic Entrances, Inc., 1235 NE 8th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304, manufacturer representative for Horton Automatics, for the furnishing and installation of nine electric swing door equipment, surface applied on existing doors and framing (Horton Series 4000). It is essential that the electric swing door equipment match existing Horton Automatic door equipment throughout the Medical Center for economical, maintenance and standardization purposes. This is sole source requirement and if no affirmative written responses are received that a comparable source is available, a sole source contract will be negotiated. Responses indicating an interest in this acquisition must be received in writing within fifteen (15) calendar days of publication of this notice. If no responses are received by July 22, 1996 negotiations will begin on July 23, 1996. Interested parties must submit descriptive literature with their response proving their capability to respond to the requirements. All requests for additional information or solicitation documents must be in writing to the attention of the Contracting Officer, reference the RFQ number, the firm's name, point of contact, address and telephone number.
