The project provides for minor additions and upgrade to the entire commissary facility at Fort Gillem, Georgia. The work includes but is not limited to the following: Construction of approximately 2,000 sq ft of new bakery/deli service area and enclosed loading dock areas. Alteration to the interior shall include conversion of existing warehouse space to sales area, dairy, produce, health and beauty, and frozen food display. The existing administrative area will be renovated and relocated to the warehouse. Upgrades will be accomplished to the entire store's electrical system, HVAC system and plumbing. The entire refrigeration system will be replaced including all display cases. Remediation of existing asbestos and lead paint is also required. Phasing of the construction will be required to allow full operation of this 70,000 sq ft facility during the renovation. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
