1996 the United States Postal Service, Windsor Facilities Service
Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT will issue a solicitation for
dock apron improvements at the General Mail Facility and VMF, 955 Goffs
Falls Road, Manchester, NH. Sealed offers are due on or before
Thursday, July 25, 1996 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. Award will be
based on price and other factors. The estimated cost of the work is
between $450,000.00 and $550,000.00. The contract completion time is
one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING
OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE
PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a preproposal
conference held on Thursday, July 11, 1996 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in
Room 107 (Postmaster's Conference Room) at the Mail Processing and
Distribution Center, 955 Goffs Falls Road, Manchester to discuss the
specifics of this project. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly
suggested. Site visits may be arranged by contacting Simon Goujon,
Manager of Maintenance at (603) 626-6820 or Tom Richardson, Maintenance
Engineering Specialist at (603) 644-4071. Work includes but is not
limited to providing all labor, materials ad equipment to remove the
existing asphalt pavement, demolition of existing concrete pads and
retaining walls, regrading work, installation of new concrete aprons
and new fabricated metal rails, pavement marking, case in place
staircases, asphalt paving and miscellaneous items. The work also
includes demolition, concrete work, carpentry, paving, site work, metal

money order payable to the Disbursing Office, U. S. Postal Service.
