Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to enclose the existing structure (shed) to create a Boat Maintenance Facility at U. S. Coast Guard Base Milwaukee, WI. The work shall include installation of metal siding, concrete block, exterior insulation finish system (EFIS), overhead and personnel doors, gas, water, sanitary sewer, lighting, heating, and ventilation. Work to the existing addition shall include replacement of existing doors and frames, patch and repair existing concrete block, adding EIFS to the exterior. Work shall also include construction of a concrete block storage addition, similar in shape and size to the existing addition. The work shall include installation of overhead garage doors, heating, lighting, and EFIS to the exterior. This procurement is estimated between $100K and $250K and is open to large and small businesses under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable SIC code is 1542. Bid opening is on/or about 29 August 1996. Completion time is 130 DANTP. Solicitation will be issued in mid-July. The bid opening is an approximate date only. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS. Written requests will be accepted until supply is exhausted. A non-refundable deposit of $30.00 is required in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or money order made payable to the ``U.S. Coast Guard.'' Cash WILL NOT be accepted. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
