Eglin AFB has a requirement to Repair Storm Damage, Building 971, and Storage Barns 8731 and 9607, Eglin AFB, FL. At Building 971, the work includes replacement of one personnel door, installation of two new metal coiling doors and wood stud with exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) infill for the three remaining bays. Prior to all new construction, all walls in the shop, office, and storage room will be wet scraped to remove lead based paint. Also included in the abatement will be the removal and disposal of acoustical ceiling tile in the above referenced areas. At the storage barns, the work includes selective demolition and replacement of all damaged framing members, metal siding, and metal roofing. Contract will be for a period of 120 calendar days. Bid opening of 8 Aug 96 is only an estimated date. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
