The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Annapolis Detachment is seeking sources within industry with the capability of manufacturing technologies for the thermal destruction of liquid waste. The liquid wastes are comprised of oily and non-oily wastewaters and a waste oil stream. The maximum waste feed rates will be between 0.5 gallons per minute 930 gallons per hour) and 10 gallons per minute (600 gallons per hour). The thermal destruction technology must be capable of vaporizing and completely burning the very dilute wastewater streams. The device is required to be sustained by fuel firing using either oil or gas. Information on the thermal destruction system is the type of device, liquid waste capacities, foot print, weight, cost, and any unique functions of the technology. The Government is seeking both off-the-shelf hardware and advanced technologies, but will not commit to development efforts at this time.
