The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, Panama City, FL plans to award a five year Requirements Contract for two Air Controlled Pilot Switches. Estimated Quantities for each switch are 160 each year of the five year contract for a total of 800 of each switch. Switches proposed should be currently commercially available. A First Article of each switch will be submitted by the successful offeror for Government testing and approval prior to delivery of further quantities. The air operated pilot switches will be part of a system used to charge cylinders with compressed air. Incoming air is at 0-150 PSI. Feedback is high pressure air from 0-5000 PSI. The switches shall normally be in the open position. The pilot switches shall stop the low pressure air from flowing through once the feedback air has reached a set pressure. This feedback pressure shall be externally, manually adjustable in the following ranges: The Type I air controlled plot switch shall have an adjustable feedback and shutoff pressure range of 2500-4000 PSI with a maximum burst pressure of 16000 PSI. The Type II air controlled pilot switch shall have an adjustable feedback and shutoff pressure range of 4000-6000 PSI with a maximum burst pressure of 24000 PSI. The low pressure air flow or shutoff mechanism shall have a maximum burst pressure of 600 PSI for both the Type I and Type II switches. Telephone requests for this solicitation will not be accepted.
