65 -- DAKO AUTOSTAINER UNIVERSAL STAINING SYSTEM SOL SOL 527-25-96 DUE 071596 POC Laralee Horowitz The DVA Medical Center, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, N.Y. intends to procure the Dako Universal Staining System because of it's unique characteristics. The Dako Autostainer has an increased slide and reagent capacity (48 slides, 64 different reagents). The Autostainer is capable of performing multiple protocols simultaneously. Manual immunohistochemical staining is performed at room temperature. Slide is horizontally situated in the stainer, insuring complete and even coverage of the tissue. Waste disposal is automated and the DAKO Autostainer distinguishes and separates hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. The unit is operated by a robotic arm controlled by an Intel Pentium 90Mhz Computer, 8 MM RAM, 840 MD hard drive, quad speed CD-ROM, and software, all provided with the autostainer. Any firms that can furnish a system equal to the DAKO Autostainer System may submit their detailed technical data and the product they propose to furnish to the Contracting Officer listed no later than July 15, 1996.
