Receivers. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The
solicitation number is F29651-96-R0008 and is issued as a Request for
Proposal (RFP). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 90-37. (iv) This RFP is 100% set-aside for small business.
SIC 3663, number of employees: 750. (v) One line item, Item 0001:
Global Positioning System (GPS) reference receivers systems consisting
of: receiver, antenna, low noise amplifier, and cable assemblies whose
interface is compatible with that of the Allen Osborne Associate part
number (P/N) 8100 SM receiver. The receiver system must operate with
existing government-developed software designed to interface with the
government's GPS Test Support Network (TSN). The integration of these
receivers with the government developed software requires knowledge of
proprietary hardware and software information of the government's
current SRS configuration. The receiver systems are required to use a
minimum of 8 channel or better, all-in-view tracking, continuous C/A
code and P code tracking on L1, P code tracing on L2 and the ability to
generate Y code, accept AOC chips without modification and output the
data blocks necessary to act as a Satellite Reference Station (SRS)
receiver, non-multiplexed satellite tracing routines and must be
contained in 19'' rack mount enclosure. The receiver systems must
maintain a receiver noise level low enough to consistently maintain a
1 meter or better position accuracy. Allen Osborne Associates P/N

security module hardware and software which must be installed by the
manufacturer. This is a firm-fixed price contract. Acceptance:

later than 01 Jan 97 and the remaining receivers no later 01 Apr 97.
