Hughes (410) 671-2449 (Site Code DAAM01) The U.S. Army Chemical and Biological Defense Command intends to negotiate with Kaman Sciences Corporation, 1500 Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs, CO, 80907, under the authority of 10 U.S.C., Section 2304(c)(1), for supplies and services that support threat environment modeling and simulation. The proposed effort will include all of the following specific features: Changes and enhancements to the existing Mobile Mass Spectrometer (MM1) and M93A1 Fox simulators; development of an MM1 Training network including 12 operator stations and one instructors station; training scenario code that defines battlefield environments, threats, and responses; develop a new FOX simulator network similar to the MM1 but with two stations and an instructor's station; modify existing simulators to facilitate their use in highly distributed exercises; develop a simulation based training system for the Biological Integrated Detection System; and, enhance existing chemical and biological distributed interactive simulation to be used in training exercises. It is anticipated that the basic contract will have a period of performance of 36 months. The security classification level of this effort is to be set at SECRET.
