J -- MAINTENANCE OF GOVERNMENT-OWNED FAIRCHILD WESTON COMPUTER EQUIPMENT POC Marilyn Carson, EG&G Florida, Inc., BOC-110, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899. EG&G Florida, Inc. intends to procure the following services from LORAL TEST & INFORMATION SYSTEMS on a sole source basis: Continuous hardware maintenance and on-call software maintenance of Government-Owned Fairchild Weston Systems Computer Equipment for Kennedy Space Center for the period November 1, 1996 through October 31, 1997. Equipment is as follows: 429A-01 Programmable Mux (1 ea.), 429B-40 Mux Encoder (1 ea.), Model 8470-002 Digital Discriminator (1 ea.), Model IV Magnetic Tape Recorder (1 ea.), Model OS/90 Standard OS/90 System. Additional Cards Not in Standard System: 8715-600 Parallel Output Module (1 ea.), 8715-500 Distributed Processing Unit (1 ea.), 8715-3200 DAC Output (1 ea.), and 8760-001/100 Bi-Bus Archiving Module/DRB32 (1 ea.). Subcontractor shall provide parts, labor, and such other expenses as required to be performed eight (8) consecutive hours per day performed during the customer's normal work week, Monday through Friday. All parts furnished in connection with the maintenance of the equipment shall be new standard parts, or parts of equal quality. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any other source(s) exist to provide both software and hardware support, therefore, no RFQ is available. Interested firms are invited to submit a response within fifteen (15) calendar days after initial publication of this notice which must include prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability to meet the requirement, including a GSA Contract, if applicable. Telephone responses will not be considered. Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether competition exists and whether a formal RFQ is appropriate. If no affirmative written documentation/tech. specs., prices, etc. are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after initial publication of this synopsis, an order will be placed with Loral Data Systems.
