214/819-8946. This project includes, but is not limited to, the
construction of a new USPS-owned facility of approximately 19,000
square feet interior space. The project includes the demolition of
existing paving and other debris; the installation of fill and the
associated site work; construction of new utilities as required by the
plans and specifications; the installation of concrete and asphalt
paving as outlined; the installation of structural concrete footings
and slabs. The building structure consists of steel columns and beams
with steel joists and other miscellaneous metals. The building exterior
consists of a brick veneer, metal panels, and a built-up roof. The
interior of the building consists of metal stud walls with gypsum
board, ceramic tile floors, vinyl tile floors, carpeted floors,
acoustical lay-in tile ceilings, architectural casework, modular
furniture assembly, steel roll-down doors, steel sliding doors, solid
wood doors, steel lockers, the installation of post office boxes, and
other miscellaneous construction activities as outlined in the
construction documents to be known as the Center City Station, Oklahoma
City, OK. Estimated cost range $1,700,000 - $2,000,000 and construction
time is 365 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their
Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned
Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests.
The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an
amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its
subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The
successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and
50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of
contract award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but
not later than 3:30 p.m. on July 30, 1996. Proposal documents, plans
and specifications will be available on June 28, 1996 at a cost of
$80.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only.

made payable to REES ASSOCIATES. Since this is a request for proposals,
offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the
identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative
standing of offeror will not be disclosed to anyone until after award
of a contract is made and the request is submitted in writing. Plans
may be inspected at the issuing office and any questions and/or
