Y -- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE, PROJECT CRWU 939853A, CONSTRUCT UPGRADE HEATING SYSTEM SOL DAHA05-96-B-0006. This project is to provide new boiler plants to two Buckley Air National Guard Base Buildings, 902 and 909. Provide all labor, materials, equipments and supervision to perform this project. The current heating plant is located in the existing crash zone and per federal regulations, must be removed leaving Buildings 902 and 909 without high pressure steam service. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing heat system, Building 902; Install new gas-fired F/A Heating System, Building 902; asbestos abatement, steam/domestic water piping, Building 902; demolition of existing Heat System, Building 909; Construction of a new Boiler House addition; and renovation of existing mechanical room in Building 909. The Scope of Additive Bid Item No. 1 includes, but is not limited to demolition of existing hot water system, Building 902 and installation of new cold and hot water piping system. Estimated performance time is 150 days. The estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Solicitation will be available approximately 9 July 1996. Solicitation package will be limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis. Copies will be made available in various Plans Rooms throughout Colorado approximately 9 July 1996. A nonrefundable charge of $45.00 per bid set will be collected. Checks must be made payable to the US Treasury. A site visit will be tentatively scheduled for 19 July 1996. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
