Lucas, Contracting Officer at (907) 384-7105 or Facsimile (907) 384-7112 (Site Code DAHC76) The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, supplies, materials, appliance, transportation and perform all work, including work of an incidental nature for the replacement of windows called out in the building schedule of the drawings. This project entails the following work: Removal of Occupant owned drapery and drapery hardware, which shall be set aside in a protected area for reinstallation by the Contractor; Removal of window shades, shade brackets, window accessories and all other hardware and items effected by the window change within a twelve inch (12'') perimeter of the window; Removal of existing trim, window, vapor barrier, insulation, shims and miscellaneous items directly involved with the removal of windows; and removal of all existing ''J'' metal, TV antennas, staffs and associated counting blocks and hardware. Perform all other work associated with demolition. The Contractor shall furnish and install the new casement, aluminum-clad wood windows with window screens as per drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturer's written instructions, any framing, bridging, or nailers required to ensure proper installation of windows, new ''J'' metal, new aluminum panning and or aluminum window trim on exterior, new insulation, shims, caulking, and miscellaneous items directly involved for the complete installation of new window units, new painted wood trim on interior; any patching or painting required on interior or exterior to ensure proper appearance of new windows, and any repair or replacement of items directly involved in the installation of the new window units. Installation of new venetian blinds is required on all new windows except bathroom and basements windows. The Contractor shall reinstall, to their original location, drapery, drapery hardware, and all other hardware and items effected by the window change within a twelve inches (12'') perimeter of the new window. The contractor shall ensure that the existing siding, new ''J'' metal and all other items effected by the window removal and installation are reattached to the building structure in accordance with industry standards. Perform all other work necessary to provide a complete and functional window system. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This requirement is subject to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and the applicable SIC code is 1751 ($7.0 million).
