Project construction consists of: This construction will consist of modifying a recently completed 108,000 SF training facility that has four applied instructional bays, classrooms, instructor's preparation areas, break areas, tool and supply area, and hardstand training area. This construction is as described by the following major features of work: DEMOLITION - interior floor slabs for construction of new rooms; roof penetrations for new mechanical equipment; exterior bituminous paving, concrete curb and gutter for new storage rooms/buildings. ARCH/STRUCTURAL - construction of a two room exterior storage building and two interior shop rooms, both of masonry, cast-in place concrete and precast prestressed hollow core slabs. MECHANICAL - consists of modifications to the plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems serving the existing four equipment bays. ELECTRICAL - consists of revisions and additions to interior and exterior electrical distribution, existing illumination, a complete telephone system (fiber optic & copper) and a computer room with LAN system.
