SOL DAAD05-96-R-0050 DUE 080196 POC Contract Specialist Pamela Morrison 410-278-0897 (Site Code DAAD05) The U.S. Army Garrison, Aberdeen Proving Ground has a requirement for a 10 Gallon Per Minute (GPM) remediation system (1 each) that is self contained. It consists of an oil water separator with a polisher, recovered oil storage, a solids removal module, and a dissolved heavy metal removal module. The unit shall be mounted on a trailer for over the road travel. It shall be explosion proof and equipped with 5 lengths of 10' hard suction hose used with the supply pump. The unit shall consist of three parts, a mechanical particle filtration in three stages, 50, 25, and 3 micron size discriminating canisters. The second module shall be a hydrocarbon encapsulator that will solidify hydrocarbons on contact and shall not be phase dependent. The third unit shall be a ceramic ion exchanger filtration media that will remove heavy metals with a molecular weight heavier that copper. The trailer shall be a tandem axle unit with each axle having 3500 lbs rating and have overall GVWR of 6000 lbs. The power supply requirements shall be two parts, one is the shore power connections, and the second will be the self contained generator power. The safeties and indicators shall be included. Additional equipment is a drip lip around the trailer, storage racks for suction and discharge hoses, oil storage capability of 475 gallons, tool box for small items (lockable), supply box (lockable),contaminated material storage drum, and flood lighting (500 watt minimum). Spare parts shall be a submersible pump (supply), polisher pump, spare gaskets, air filter, oil filter. Training requirements shall be two 8 hour days and three sets of operating manuals.
