Central Office (VACO), Washington, D.C., has a requirement for FLAGS,
NATIONAL, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INTERMENT, NSN 8345-00-656-1432,
made in accordance with Commercial Item Description (CID) No.
A-A-52696. Salient characteristics are: The interment flag of the
United States shall be a 5-foot hoist by 9-foot 6-inch fly flag, and be
made in the United States from cotton grown in native soil. The
contract will be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract
for one year with option for two one-year renewals. Of the estimated
annual quantity of 500,000 flags, 20% (100,000 flags) is set aside for
mandatory source, National Institute of Severely Handicapped (NISH)
organization. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards
of the non-mandatory set aside portion if doing so is economically
advantageous to the Government. Copies of Invitation for Bid (IFB)
101-11-96 will be available by written request only or or about 15 days
