The Defense Mapping Agency intends to extend contract DMA800-95-C-8134 an additional five months, from 01 August 1996 through 20 December 1996. The contract is for the operation and maintenance of the Point Positioning Production System. This includes providing corrective, preventive, adaptive and perfective maintenance as well as upgrades. The contract modification will be sole source to the existing contractor - E-Systems. The basis for sole source is the fact that the contractor is the original manufacturer of the Point Positioning Production System and has been the sole provider of the operation and maintenance on the system.
