R -- SPONSORSHIP/IN KING DONATIONS FOR ARCTIC WARRIOR DAY SOL SVS-SCS-79-96 DUE 072596. POC Tracy Barbour, 907/552-5823/5473, FAX 907/552-9250. We are soliciting in-kind donations or sponsorship for Arctic Warrior Day, to be held 15 Aug. 1996 at Elmendorf Air Force Base. The event will be open to all base personnel and their family members. Approximate total participation for this event could be 4,000 to 5,000 people. We are looking for the following prizes: certificates ranging from $5 to $500 to be awarded to participants in all events. The event will include sporting activities between squadrons. We would like trophies for participants and/or winners of each event. We also would like T-shirts for event planners and participants. This event will conclude with a large picnic at Paxton Park for everyone who participates. We would accept donations of food items such as hotdogs, hamburgers, beverages and other such picnic food. We also are looking for entertainment such as bands, disc jockeys, magicians and clowns. We are going to provide the entertainment during the picnic for all participants. The total sponsorship for this event will be approximately $16,000 to $20,000. We would accept part or all of the items requested, depending on the sponsor and what they can provide. The sponsor will be allowed to display banners and information at the event. Advertising in all areas on the base will be done. Representation from the sponsor for the event drawings will also be accepted and encouraged. All offer will be considered. More than one sponsor/donation may be accepted and additives will be considered. Requests for copies of this solicitation must be received not later than 25 July 1996. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship/donation by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the United States Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the Government. (176)
