Z -- REPLACE FUEL OIL PIPING AT USCG ISC BOSTON, MA SOL PSN32-P5091 DUE 082396 POC Frank Pfeiffer, Contracting Officer (401) 736-1761; Fax (401) 736-1704 Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary for the excavation and removal of approximately 400 linear feet of underground single- walled heating oil and diesel fuel piping, two electric leak detection systems, three hydraulic tank gauges, and one 10,000 gallon underground heating oil tank. The work also includes the installation of 300 linear feet of new double-walled underground heating oil and diesel fuel piping, backfilling of the excavation and installation of two new leak detection and tank gauging systems serving the new piping and two remaining existing underground tanks. Removal and disposal of 20 cubic yards of contaminated soil from the excavation is included as an optional bid item should any soil contamination be discovered during the work. The estimated cost of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. SIC code is 1711. Solicitation packages to be available on or about 24 July 1996. The bid opening date will be on or about 23 August 1996. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
