Project requires the removal of existing ceiling systems, ductwork, and wet-chemical fire extinguishing system in a cafeteria kitchen area. Work includes limited asbestos abatement. New work includes the installation of air handling units, controls, ductwork, piping, dry chemical fire extinguishing system, and ceilings. The project shall be completed outside of normal cafeteria hours of operation. Any contractor or subcontractor performing asbestos or other hazardous material work shall satisfy special responsibility and shall provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence. Such coverage must encompass liabilities arising from work with hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks.
