Each panel has a different NSN. Our best estimate shows we expect to order 125 of each NSN during the 3 year period. The requirements contract sets up the unit price for each NSN. When we need to order one or more of the panels, we issue an order against the requirements contract. We may order only one panel at a time. Due to changing government concerns, we may end up not ordering 125 of each panel. We may end up ordering only a few. We curently expect to order 31 eq, 51 ea, and 44 ea, respectively, at the time of contract award. Each panel has a first article requirement of 2 first articles (in addition to the production quantities). First article testing will not be waived. Following gives information on each of the three NSN's and shows the expected order at time of contract award. Again, these quantities are subject to change. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.
