The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to purchase through a Request For Quotation (RFQ) a AUTOMATED BIOLOGIC SYSTEM. The Institute intends to purchase this laboratory equipment by Full And Open Competition. This gel processing, sequencing apparatus is the only one (1) in production that provides multiple pre-programming capibilities and includes a micro- processor controlled power supply for preperative IEF, analytical IEF, electroelution, DNA sequencing, SSCF, micro-satellite mapping, DNA/RNA submarine electrophoresis, DGGE/CDGE, high volume SDS-PAGE, 2-D IEF/SDS-PAGE, and 2-D techniques. All responsible sources may submit a Request For Quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. All request for quotations must be within the Simplified Acquisition threshold ($ 50,000). It is anticipated that Request For Quotation (RFQ) Number NIH-NIDDK-96-186, will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis.
