William Bolyard Research and Development Announcement -- This synopsis is published pursuant to the requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate a contract with United Technologies Pratt & Whitney under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(2). The work encompasses the development of kinetic data, computer modeling, evaluations of combustor configurations and other related activities. The goal of the project is to fill in technological data gaps in the development of the Humid Air Turbine (HAT) cycle. The need is to identify a combustor configuration that will efficiently burn high moisture, high pressure gas-air mixtures with low emissions. ''See Numbered Note 22.'' (0183)
