Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform routine Drydock Vessel Maintenance including, but not limited to, the following Minimum Items: 1) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts. 2) Renew: Welding Sections/Transom Ladder/Bulkhead Plating/Quick Acting Watertight Doors/ Packing Gland Pushers/Water Lubricated Shaft Bearings/Cathodic Anode/Deck Covering. 3) Remove and Reinstall Propellers/Rudders. 4) Preserve Antennas and Antenna Foundations. 5) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves. 6) Hydroblast Sewage and Grey Water System Piping. &) Upgrade Halon 1301 Extinguishing System (Shipalt No. 110-A-051). 8) Overhaul Stabilizing Fins. 9) Erect Mast Staging. 10) Provide Temporary Messing /Berthing /Logistics. 12) Routine Drydocking. Indefinite Items include: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Straighten/Repair Propeller Shaft. 3) Repair Propeller Root Erosion. 4) Renew Rudder Bearings/Lower Fin Stock Bearing. 5) Preserve Sewage/Grey Water Holding Tank (s)/ Potable Water Tanks. 6) Ultrasonic Testing. Vessels' homeports are Cockspur Island, GA for USCGC KEY LARGO, and Charlesotn, SC for USCGC METOMPKIN. Vessel lengths are 110 Foot B Class, Patrol Boats. Vessel availability schedules are 14 Oct 1996 for 42 days for USCGC KEY LARGO and 13 Jan 1997 for 42 days for USCGC METOMPKIN. The place of performance for these vessels is not geographically restricted. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Funds are not presently available for this procurement. The government's obligation under this solicitation is contingent upon availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contractual purposes can be made. The proposed contract listed here is totally set-aside for small businesses. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 17 Jul 96. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
