J -- PREVENTIVE AND REMEDIAL MAINTENANCE SERVICE FOR TAMERAN AUTOPRINT EQUIPMENT TO THE FERC'S RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS OPERATIONS SOL FERC96- POC Mary Anne Wright, Contract Specialist on (202) 219-1159, Sylvia Brown, Contracting Officer on (202) 219-1155 FERC intends to negotiate on a noncompetitive basis for Preventive and Remedial services (including parts and supplies) with Tameran, Inc., 30340 Solon Industrial Parkway, Solon, OH 44139, to be performed on-site on Tameran Autoprint equipment located in Washington, DC. Items to be maintained shall include TAMERAN 6000R/SN 9701239 AND TAMERAN 6000R/SN 8709994. Services required shall include routine service visits, emergency service, repair/replace parts to maintain original specifications, labor, travel and parts covered. The period of performance is for a base year and four option years, commencing October 1, 1996, and ending September 30, 2001. Tameran is the sole manufacturer of this equipment and replacement parts, and also employs a staff of service engineers who are qualified to service this unique equipment. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All interested concerns must identify their interest in writing and fully document their capability to meet the agency's requirements by forwarding a detailed response within thirty calendar days of this notice, and must be able to provide to the Government a Certificate of Maintainability from OEM at no cost to the Government. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government, information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative written responses are received within forty five days after this publication of this synopsis to the affect that a comparable sources is available, or is more advantageous to the Government, a contract will be placed with Tameran, Inc.
