M -- NONCOMPETITIVE CONTRACT FOR LOGISTICAL SUPPORT AND OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THREE NEWLY ESTABLISHED POSTAL SERVICE FACILITIES WHICH WILL BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROCESSING MAIL TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT DUE 061196. The Postal Service anticipates negotiating with New Breed Leasing of Greensboro NC for the operation of three (3) Mail Transport Equipment Service Centers (MTESC) and logistical support for all operational sites. The operation of eighteen (18) of these additional sites will be procured competitively. The logistical support will include: facility acquisition and preparation; acquisition of facility equipment; repair parts management; operation of a management information system, and training. The Postal Service is currently conducting a Sources Sought/Supplier Pre-qualification process for the operation and management of the 18 Mail Transport Equipment Service Centers (MTESC) which will not be awarded to New Breed.
