Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company (TOLIC) which currently is under contract with Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) for Medicare Part B claims processing is seeking sources for professional consultants to conduct a triennial risk assessment and contingency review in accordance with HCFA's MCM Part 2 section 5135-5139 requirements. The contract deliverables will be to provide TOLIC a final written document of this assessment. This document will serve as a framework for this carrier to ensure continuous improvements in its systems security and it will be submitted to this carrier's HCFA Regional Office for compliance review. Additionally, the document will identify recommendations for cost effective controls and workable rationale for areas requiring improvement. Interested parties must call to receive a copy of the request for quotation. The final quotations and cost proposals are due in writing by July 19, 1996. Responses will be reviewed and evaluated 55% on cost and 45% on meeting the specified scope of work.
