Specialist, 301/415-6747 The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to provide and install
approximately 820 lineal feet of fence along the entire east property
line, and partially on the south property line, of NRC's White Flint
complex in North Bethesda, MD. The work also will necessitate the
erection of a U-shaped concrete retaining wall, about 15 lineal feet
around a fire plug, and the installation of one gate. The contractor
must furnish all materials and labor necessary to provide and install
the fence and, at the conclusion of the project, must leave the entire
fence site free and clear of debris, and in original condition. The
contractor must provide standard guarantees and warranties associated
with fence manufacture and installation. In addition, the contractor
must provide a bid bond, a performance bond and a payment bond. The
required completion time is 60 days. A site visit is planned to be held
at the NRC HQ installation site approximately 5 days after the
solicitation is released. This effort is estimated to cost between
$100,000 and $250,000. Interested firms should submit written requests
to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the address shown above.
Telephone requests will not be honored. The invitation for bid is
estimated to be released on July 23, 1996. The closing date for bids
