Maintenance and repair services for a one-year period for the FE Walter Dam's flood control gates. Work consists of the removal, rehabilitation and re-installation of existing flood control slide gates and hydraulic operating cylinders from the control tower; removal and re-installation of overhead lifting hoist from the control tower, furnishing a portable lifting hoist for stop logs, and removal and re-installation of Government furnished maintenance stop logs. Note to bidders: Diving services will be required to accomplish various repair tasks. Specifications and full-size drawings will be furnished at a charge of $15.00 per set. The solicitation will be issued on/about July 23, 1996 and open on/about August 22, 1996. A site visit will be held on/about August 1, 1996. The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Quantity Contract with a guaranteed minimum and be under the authority of the Continuing Contracts clause. Award of the contract will be made as a whole to one bidder. The applicable SIC code is 1629 and the size standard is $17.0 million.
