23 -- LEASE AND MAINTENANCE OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES SOL DASW01-97-B-0001 POC James L. Murphy, Contract Specialist, (703) 695-0747 Defense Supply Service-Washington has a requirement for a contractor to provide lease of approximately seventy two (72) Commercial Vehicles for the Motor Transport Directorate, United States Army Service Center, The Pentagon. The IFB shall be for the initial base year with two (2) option years. Vehicles shall be Black in color and vary from compact sedans to large passenger vans (15) person. The vans and trucks shall be Gray in color. The 15 four (4) wheel drive jeep shall be Black in color. All maintenance (minor and major repair) shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Tires shall be replaced by the contractor as needed to meet state inspections and safety standards. Contractor shall ensure all vehicles are validly registered with the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles and shall have D.C. U.S. Government tags,registration cards and D.C. inspection stickers. The 23 midsize sedans license plates will be registered in D.C. and will bear regular D.C. license plates, instead of D.C. U.S. Government plates. All vehicles shall meet all State and local laws for operation on public highways.
