The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) seeks a Contractor to furnish and install an imaging/spectroscopy console to replace the GE Omega console used for the 4.7Tesla/40cm system. This upgrade of the current control console requires the Contractor to replace all parts of the existing equipment except: the 4.7t/40cm Oxford horizontal bore magnet and shim coils, bipolar 2 ampere, computer driven 17 channel room temperature shim supply, self-shielded gradient coils and Crown Techron amplifiers, and 1kWp pulsed broad band amplifier for observe transmitter. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3845. The award of a firm fixed-price type contract is anticipated. The contract period shall be approximately six (6) months. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about July 22, 1996.
