Williams, Purchasing Specialist, 901/747-7655 The project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the Design and Construction of an expansion to an existing facility to add approximately 52,000 gross square feet on the east side of its existing P&DC facility. The addition's North and South walls will be constructed of concrete block and brick to match the existing wall construction. The east wall shall be a single sided metal wall panel system with a batt insulation interior. In addition, an 8-foot high painted plywood and metal stud wall will be installed on the east wall interior face. The addition floor will be an elevated slab on grade with an asphalt plank floor finish to match the existing workroom elevation. The truck maneuvering area will be extended by adding 23,000 square feet of concrete paving in front of the new loading docks. The construction process of the addition shall be based upon minimum interference with the existing facility's 24-hour operation at the Western Nassau (Garden City), New York Processing & Distribution Center in accordance with plans and specifications. The issue date for the above project is July 1, 1996. The return date for the above project is August 5, 1996. The performance Time is 180 days. The Estimated Cost Range is $3,000,000. to $4,000,000. A pre proposal conference is scheduled for July 16, 1996, at 10:00 AM at the facility, in the PEDC Room. A walk-through will follow immediately thereafter.
