N -- REMOVAL OF EXISTING HOT WATER STORAGE TANKS AND INSTALLATION OF NEW HOT WATER STORAGE TANKS Sol. EMT-96-IB-0007. Due 082796. Contact Virna Evans 817/898-5108. This project will include: (1) the removal of two hot water storage tanks and heaters and their associated piping, valving, fittings, and insulation; (2) Removal of existing disconnect, wiring, and conduit; (3) Removal of asbestos in association with removal of existing hot water storage tanks and piping; (4) Installation of new 600 gallon hot water storage tank and its associated piping, valving, fittings, and insulation; (5) installation of recirculation pump and gauges; (6) modification of existing shock mounting for placement under new tank; (7) Installation of four new 20 gallon water heaters; and (8) Installation of new anti-scalding master tempering shower valves. The contractor shall possess a valid Texas contractor's license. Projects are located at FEMA Region VI, 800 North Loop 288, Denton, Texas, approximately 38 miles North of Dallas, Texas. The facility is a two (2) story concrete structure underground. The estimated cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. The Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed-price contract.
