The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a service contract for Non-Personal Service as an Optometrist. Duties to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Old Highway Road 75, Butner, NC 27509-1000. Services include, but are not limited to providing professional performing Optometric evaluation and refraction to the inmates that are referred to the contractor by FCI Butner medical staff members. Requirements include certification in the field of Optometry and hold a current State license that permits practice in this professional specialty in the state of North Carolina. This contract will include a base year not to exceed (12) twelve months from date of award, with four (4), one (1) year option periods for renewal. Estimated number of sessions for the base year is 52 (one (1) session per week, one (1) session equals eight (8) hours). Option year #1 estimated sessions is 52; Option year #2 estimated sessions is 52; Option year #3 estimated sessions is 52; Option year #4 estimated sessions is 52.
