The Office of Minority Health, OS through the General Acqisitions Branch, PSC plans to award a sole source simplified acquisition to National Public Health and Hospital Institute in Washington, DC, to develop five workshop panels on cultural competence for the First National Conference on Cultural Competence in Health Care to be held in FY 97. It would include a mix of plenary sessions focusing on health poicy issues related to organizations and workshops on targeted topics. The plenary sessions would set the context for considering cultural competence in health care and address issues related to the diversity. An overall summary of the workshop panel proceedings shall be provided and will highlight the topics of discussion, outline current issues and needs, and list recommendations to effectively address cultural competence issues in health delivery settings.
