AFCEE TO HOST INDUSTRY DAY -- Brooks AFB, Texas-The Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) will host an Industry Day Thursday, August 22 at the Plaza San Antonio Hotel in San Antonio. Members of industries with an interest in any of the Center's business lines including environmental, construction and architectural design contractors in large and small businesses are invited to the one day session. Maj. Gen. Eugene A. Lupia, The Air Force Civil Engineer, is slated to address the attendees during the morning session. In the afternoon, Mr. Gary M. Erickson, Director of AFCEE, will discuss the Center's business philosophy and the vital role contractors play in AFCEE's business. An AFCEE business overview as well as presentations from the Center's business line directorates, environmental contracting, and the Human Systems Center Small Business Office will also be presented, including upcoming business opportunities with AFCEE. An open forum ``question and answer session'' later in the day will give attendees the opportunity to provide comments and raise any issues or concerns they may have. An icebreaker will be held from 5:30 to 9:00 Wednesday evening before the event to give attendees a chance to meet Mr. Erickson and members of his senior AFCEE staff. Registration is limited to 600 people due to space limitations. In order to ensure as many companies as possible have access to the event, each company is limited to two attendees. Registration fee is $28 per person to cover the administrative costs to support the conference.
