Y -- HVAC UPGRADE AT THE MATHER AFB ARSR SOL DTFA08-96-R-03688 DUE 071296 POC Matt Smilak, Contracting Officer, 310/725-7552 The Federal Aviation Administration Western-Pacific Region is seeking potential sources to modify the existing air conditioning systems at the Mather AFB ARSR located in Sacramento, CA. Work includes, but is not limited to: Furnishing and installing equipment and material for two 20 ton split system air conditioners, two 10 ton split system air conditioners, one through the wall air conditioner, including all ductwork, controls, and electrical work, and concrete pads, as well as the demolition and removal of existing air conditioners, ductwork, controls, concrete pads, and electrical feeds. Work may also include the removal and disposal of some asbestos containing materials at wall and floor penetrations. The period of performance will be 45 calendar days and the estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Standard Industrial Classification for this procurement is 1711. The FAA is seeking potential sources who have demonstrated successful past performance with contracts of similar size and nature and possess the necessary business/technical, bonding, and financial capability to successfully compete a contract of this nature. Potential sources will be evaluated and qualified based on the following factors listed in descending order of importance: past performance, business/technical capability, bonding capability, and financial capability. The FAA will be soliciting offers for this project only from known qualified sources. This notice BELOW is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximun line of credit is $500,000.
