The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary for replacing curbs at various locations. The existing concrete curb is a barrier type with a height of 30 inches. There are two primary types of curb being constructed. Type A curb is a barrier type while Type B is a mountable curb. There are several areas that are to have depressed curb constructed. There are also locations where there is curb removal only. The areas and curb types are identified on the drawings. The existing bituminous pavement adjacent to the curb shall be sawcut a distance of 1 foot from the edge of the curb and removed to allow or excavation of the existing curb and forming of the new curb. The bituminous paving removed as a result of curb excavation shall be replaced as shown on the drawings. Estimated price range: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Number of days in contract: 180.
