Z -- REPLACE UPPER ROOF SYSTEM, PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER, PORTLAND, MAINE SOL 082530-96-A-0120 DUE 080296 POC Carmine Antonellis, Project Manager (617) 654-5944. On or about Tuesday, July 2, 1996, the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT will issue a solicitation to replace the upper roof system at the Portland, ME Processing and Distribution Center, 125 Forest Avenue, Portland, Maine. Sealed offers are due on or before Friday, August 2, 1996 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. Award will be based upon price and other factors. The estimated cost of the work is between $300,000.00 and $350,000.00. The contract completion time is one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be preproposal conference held on Thursday, July 18, 1996 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Room 168 (Manager of Maintenance's Office) of the Mail Processing and Distribution Center, 125 Forest Avenue, Portland to discuss the specifics of the project. Work includes but is not limited to providing all labor, materials and equipment to remove the existing membrane roof systems, asbestos shingle roof materials (with disposal), supplying and installing new membrane roof, insulation, minor painting of facias, welding, etc. Roof systems are to be adhered systems non-ballasted.
