Code DACA63) This project provides for the construction of a barracks
complex, which includes three standard-design barracks,
standard-design soldier community building for each barracks, eight
standard-design company operations facilities, and a standard-design
large size dining facility. Barracks include living/sleeping rooms,
baths, walk-in closets, and services areas. Support facilities include
utilities; fire sprinkler and alarm systems; additional left turn
lanes on Pleasonton Road; paving; walks; outdoor recreation areas;
storm drainage; and site improvements. A central energy plant will be
provided. Demolition of existing buildings includes asbestos and
lead-based paint abatement and site restoration. Estimated Cost Range:
$25,000,000 to $50,000,000 - - Bid sets available at $140.00 for
half-size and $440.00 for full-size. No individual sheets of half-size
drawings may be purchased. Requests by mail must include payment in
the applicable amount by company check or money order made payable to
F&A Officer, USAED FTW and sent to: USACE, Attn: Room 13A42, Post

EXPRESS MAIL PROCEDURES WILL BE UTILIZED ON INITIAL MAILINGS OF PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS. Requests in person may be paid be cash. No refund
will be made and materials need not be returned. If project is canceled
or no award is made, cost of plans and specifications will be refunded
only upon written request. Solicitation to be issued on or about 29
Jul 96. Bid opening on or about 29 Aug 96. Duration of contract 730
days. If a large business firm is selected for this announcement, it
must comply with FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a
subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District's goal for the dollars to
be subcontracted is for 52.5% to go to Small Businesses, of the 52.5%
goal, 8.8% should go to Small Disadvantaged Business, and 3.0% to
