The value of the work is estimated between $750,000 and $1,500,000. Description of work: Removing the existing roof and insulation to the roof deck, reinsulation and reroofing. Areas include the main building, outbuildings and penthouses. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after Notice to Proceed and obtain substantial completion within 120 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Proper removal and disposal of asbestos containing roofing materials is included. Offers will only be accepted from contractors whose primary occupation is roofing. Contractors will be required to submit their technical qualifications with their proposal. Evaluation will be made based on on best value as determined from price and the following factors in order of importance: related construction experience - 50 points, project staffing - 20 points, references - 5 points, written quality control program - 5 points, written safety program - 5 points, office location relative to the job site- 5 points, previous U.S. Government experience, and financial capability - 5 points.
