The work of this contract consists of general construction necessary to modify an existing classroom building located within an educational facility in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. There are three main areas of work: Work in area 1 is the modification of an existing 18' x 24' multipurpose room for use as a computer room and modification of an existing 12' x 18' office for use as a break room. The computer room will have lighting and electrical modifications and a new access floor. The break room will have a new kitchenette and a counter space for eating. Work in area 2 is the modification of two bathrooms to meet current ADA accessibility standards. The bathrooms cover an area 18' x 22'. Work will include minor demolition, installing walls, fixtures, partitions and lighting. Work in area 3 is the modification of an existing entrance door to include a concrete accessibility ramp. It will be necessary to move the door and demolish part of an existing outside concrete walkway. Grand Canyon National Park, Albright Training Center, is located 60 miles North of Williams, Arizona on Highway 64. Bid opening is August 20, 1996. This procurement action is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement action is a small business set-aside.
