Kesecker Furnish all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to install new acrylic terpolymer caulking and rod backing in all brick control joints and around all windows, decorative panels, fascia, soffit, louvers, metal flashing, gutters, downspouts, and other miscellaneous items, and an application of clear coat of silicone sealant to all the exterior bricks on Bldg. 501 and Bldg. 502A, 502B, 502C, 502D and 502E, and connecting corridors, some minor tuck pointing and brick replacement, and replacement of all weatherstripping on all exterior doors located at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV. Demolition work includes the removal of all existing caulking and backer rods and cleaning and preparation for the installation of the new caulking, (this includes mortar joints and brick replacement). OSHA and NFPA safety regulations apply. The work shall be performed in accordance with the contract drawings and the written specifications within 365 days after the notice to proceed is issued and received. This project is subject to the availability of funds. Project #97-1140. SIC Code 1799. Cost Range: $100,000 - $250,000. Bid Alternate is included to eliminate weatherstrip seals of exterior doors. Full and Open Competition. Government shall provide bricks for replacement requirements. Contractor shall have at least five years prior experience performing the required work.
