The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Indianapolis, seeks sources for the following equipments: 1. Triple Frequency Personal Locator Beacon - which is a hand held, emergency communication radio and locator beacon. It operates as a half duplex AM voice radio at 282.8 MHz, and as a locator beacon at 121.5 MHz and 243 MHz as well as 406.025 MHz in conjunction with SARSAT/COSPAS satellites. It also contains a GPS receiver for purposes of transmitting location to the SARSAT/COSPAS satellites. 2. Dual Frequency Personal Locator Beacon - which is an emergency locator beacon ment to be a form, fit, and function replacement for the AN/URT-33A/B/C. It operatres on 121.5 MHz and 243 MHz as well as 406.025 MHz in conjunction with the SARSAT/COSPAS satellites. All equipments must be designed to meet full military environment.
