63 -- WIRELESS ALARM/ALERT SYSTEM SOL RFP#636-80-96 DUE 082296 POC Jeannine McCormick 402-346-8800 ext. 4509, Denise Bradford ext. 4505 Contractor to provide alarm/alert system for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68105 as follows: System Operational Description: The alarm/alert system is made up of small, pocket, or key chain size transmitters, receivers located in various areas to be provided protection and a computer with notification capabilities. The wireless transmitter provides a unique digital RF signal when activated. The transmission is picked up by the closest receiver and the receiver provides both the transmitter identification and its own identification to the central alarm processor/computer. The computer decodes the identifications and provides an alarm output that includes both the name of the holder of the transmitter, and the location where the alarm was received.
