Boggero/Lvkb/(912)926-6086 A Source Selection acquisition will be conducted for the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) procurement. The HEV acquisition will be for up to three vehicle types: shuttle bus, multi-stop van, and tow tractor. It is anticipated that a minimum of two contracts (i.e. two vehicle types - one contract each) up to a maximum of nine contracts (i.e. three vehicle types - three contracts each) of varying quantities will be awarded. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide vehicle demonstrations of varying hybrid electric technologies for a period of 24 months at selected Air Force and Navy facilities. A draft Request For Proposal will be released approximately 29 Jul 96, with a Presolicitation Conference approximately 14-15 Aug 96. (See Section L of the RFP.)
