B -- ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF DSCS INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (DIMS) ON THE DOCS TRAINING SYSTEM (DTS). A modification is proposed to contract DAAB07-92-C-A255 with Stanford Telecommunications Incorporated, SATCOM Ground Support Division, for the preparation a of White Paper, subject: analysis of the impact of the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Integrated Management System (DIMS) on the DSCS Operational Control System (DOCS) Training System (DTS). The assessment shall recommend any necessary enhancements and/or modifications to the DTS hardware and software baselines and propose an implementation approach for recommended enhancements and/or modifications. Only Stanford Telecommunications has sufficient knowledge of the DTS (as its developer) to perform this assesment in time to support the operational implementation of the DIMS, which is scheduled for Jan 1997. Therefore, the proposed services are to be obtained from Stanford Telecommunications Inc., Colorado Springs, CO, on a sole source basis.
