Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF 20 ACRE ENVIRONMENTAL LANDFILL COVER SOL F40650-96-B-0042 DUE 082396 POC Tony Clayborne (Contracting Officer) (615) 454-5174 This requirement is for the construction of an approximate 20 acre landfill cover at Arnold AFB TN. The contractor will be required to close existing monitoring wells, relocate clay to obtain appropriate grading, install the specified cover material, and establish and maintain vegetation for one year. The cover will include, from top to bottom: 2-foot topsoil layer, synthetic drainage layer, geosynthetic clay liner, and a synthetic gas collection layer. In order to participate in this procurement a potential bidder must have installed a minimum one million square feet of geosynthetic liners and or completed five geosynthetic cover systems. The contract performance period will be 300 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. The estimated magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Any responsible source may submit a bid which shall be considered. Firms responding to this synopsis should do so in writing and indicate whether or not they are a minority business concern.
