Atlantic City International Airport, NJ 08405 Z -- PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEMS
SOL DTFA03-96-R-00033 DUE 082296 POC Linda A. Cassone, Contracting
Officer, ACT-130A, 609-485-6128. This is a 100% small business set
aside. The contractor shall provide and secure all labor, materials and
equipment necessary to modify existing septic systems/sumps, remove
existing plumbing fixtures and provide connections to existing sewers
complete and ready for use at various locations throughout the William
J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, New
Jersey. This proposed procurement shall include removal of all plumbing
fixtures and decommissioning of water wells and septic tanks for FAA
Buildings 150, 150a, 171 and 224. Decommission existing septic system
at FAA Building 284, add new sanitary lift station with sanitary forced
main and connect to new gravity sanitary sewer system; redirect
existing photo lab drains in Building 300 to an existing sanitary sewer
and remove existing sump pumps; redirect discharge from existing floor
drain piping in Building 303 to an existing sanitary drain; add new
sump pump for existing footing drains in Building 303. The tentative
issue date for this solicitation is 07/24/96, with a closing date for
offers on 08/22/96. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC BID OPENING. The
performance period shall be 180 calendar days after receipt of the
notice to proceed. Potential offerors shall request plans and
specifications in writing and reference DTFA03-96-R-00033, Attn: Linda
A. Cassone, Act-130A, and include their complete mailing address. Fax

not be honored. Offerors are requrired to attend a MANDATORY site visit
tentatively scheduled for 08/07/96, at 9:00 a.m., to inspect the site
where the work will be performed. Offerors are advised that this will
be the only site visit scheduled; therefore, arrangements for
individual visits will not be honored. Offerors not in attendance at
this mandatory site visit will not be permitted to submit an offer for
contract award. The FAA will award a firm fixed price type contract
resulting from this solicitation to the lowest, responsible offeror.
The estimated price range of this procurement is between $100,000.00
